Pacific Northwest offers magical transformations that are breathtaking. The annual Tulip festival in the Skagit Valley is one such. For a few short weeks in April every year, this place comes to life. People from all over the country come to see the colorful Tulip farms. The weather begins to play well as well, as if suggesting the pacific north westerners to get out of their homes and start forgetting the winter gloom.
Rising early for a national park sunrise never fails to amaze me! My experience during a wonderful sunset and a gorgeous sunrise from the Desert View point, on Grand Canyon's south rim road. The skies were bland with no clouds but the canyon views were spectacular!
It was the mid nineteen eighties. I was an eighth-grade student. Through 10th grade, we were taught Geography of various countries and their mountains, rivers, valleys, weather, agriculture and more. A lesson about how the Colorado river in the North American continent carved a deep canyon over millions of years fascinated me. Forty years later, I finally got to see this magnificent place - The Grand Canyon!
Heavenly experiences are not limited to just places of worship. If you are a nature lover, you can get an abundance of them, if you can plan well and can sacrifice a bit of early morning sleep!
Landscape photography involves a lot of planning, traveling, cost, and determination. One has to ‘be physically there’ when the nature unfolds its magic. Lots can go wrong and they will. One has to hold on to the last bit of hope and be creative when the stars don’t align. This is one such story and a photograph that turned out to be unforgettable!
Some experiences in life stay with us forever. The place, the sights, the sounds, day and exact time, the mood, the emotions we felt and the events that lead us to that experience - all of these take a special place in our memory. Capturing this shot is one such experience for me.
